This three novel series by Bruce R Cordell is a very interesting read on Faerun as a spell plague hits and things really get tough. This story shows just what it would be like for a Mage who is stripped of their power due to a break in the Weave. Raidon Kane is a monk who is the main character of the tale and is also stripped of his magic like abilities that monks are know to have while on his way home to see his daughter. When the world is turned upside down, Raidon is tasked with the quest of saving faerun along with a warlock who makes a pact with an evil fae, to gain some magic to use.. All in all a very good read in the Forgotten Realms setting.. Full of great fights and plots..\m/ \m/
